But in some cases, it might be useful to perform a preliminary search just to check the registered location and phone provider for a particular number before ordering a more detailed tracer report.
How can this be useful?
First, you should be aware that there is no central directory for the wireless or unlisted numbers in the U.S. due to well known privacy concerns. These numbers are scraped from the Internet, private and public records sources (e.g. court records) and then compiled into directories that can be accessed by general public for a fee.
